One of the major and significant change of 925 from the 920 is its
screen, that was from IPS to AMOLED. So AMOLED screen is a specific type
of thin-film display technology in which organic compounds form the
electroluminescent material and active matrix which refers to the
technology behind the addressing of pixels and it's known for its very
deep black, very high contrast, superb viewing angles and comparedly
thin to those TFT LCDs. But the weak spot of this display is that it
can't give high brightness to the screen compared to the LCD or any IPS
panels.
But now, Nokia have found a way to make the brightness to be as high as those LCDs possible through their new type of Clearblack AMOLED screen that is directly attached to the Gorilla Glass 2 for extra protection, also to remove the extra air gaps that causes the reflection to worsen. By removing that extra layer, the screen gives extra brightness also attain the so called super sensitivity that allows users to use the touch screen with gloves.
The Nokia 925 can attain 600 Nits on the full brightness setting which is almost double (300-400 Nits) to the current AMOLED screens available in the market. Well, some people doesn't like AMOLED screens because it has a tendecy to be over saturated, so Nokia provided an app to adjust the vividness of the screen.
Well, for me, Nokia made the perfect screen. Even better! The Pureview 808 and the Lumia 820 are some of the phones with the best screens I've ever seen. So if Nokia keeps on getting better when it comes to the screen, I hope they could get better with their phone specs, too. And someday, I would really want to see a Nokia phone running in Android and up to par with the latest and most advance specs by the time they would release an Android phone. Well I think Nokia and android are just perfect together
